Your 4th-grade teacher was right all along!

Reading is knowledge and knowledge is power.

Reading is power!

I have listened to countless billionaires give their daily routines and tips. The number one thing that keeps coming is the importance of reading books.

Some of them even read one book per day!

I personally LOVE reading. I read one book per month and even that is a challenge.

But I know for a fact that reading has improved my language skills, broadened my vocabulary, and helped me become a better writer.

Not to mention, I speak 4 languages and have read books in each language which has helped me become fluent in the new languages that I have learned.

So, it is only normal that when I started my online business, that I also read books from successful entrepreneurs.

There are THOUSANDS of books that are available to you, but if you are a beginner, you might need some guidance.

There are also so many books that are only filled with fluff and self-boasting from their authors.

To help you avoid the agony of having to read a couple of chapters before you realize a book is useless, I did the work for you.

I have gathered my top 15 books that I believe to be the most beginner-friendly and jam-packed with great information.

15 Books That Are Must-Reads for Every Entrepreneur

This is not going to be in a particular order but, I do have to say, the last one is my favorite.

Every single one of the books that you are about to see has a message that you can learn from. Whether you are an online entrepreneur or someone who is trying to get better at their 9-5.

I can tell you from personal experience that the knowledge that I found in these books, might have taken me years to accumulate without them.

Instead of just a few hours, days, or weeks.

If you prefer to listen to the book, almost all of them are available on Audible and you can even get a free trial if you are lucky.

So I hope you have a pen and paper ready.

1- The Nuclear Effect: The 6 pillars of Building a 7+ Figure Online Business

The Nuclear Effect: The 6 Pillars of Building a 7+ Figure Online Business: Oldford, Scott: 9781544507040: Amazon.com: Books

This book is great if you are interested in growing a big online business.

If you think that once you start making 7 figures, your problems will be over then you are in for a big surprise.

If you are not careful, you may actually find yourself working harder but not smarter. This is what Oldford is trying to help you avoid.

The constant push and pull of “more money, more problems” is what can take people from being successful CEOs to homeless bums on the street in seconds.

Watching all of their hard work fall down the drain.

Don’t let this be you.

You will definitely find yourself taking a lot of notes with each chapter and you can feel Scott’s emotions through the pages.

His story will inspire you to take action.

2- To Sell is Human: The Surprising Truth about Moving Others

To Sell Is Human: The Surprising Truth About Moving Others: Pink, Daniel H.: 9781594631900: Amazon.com: Books

This book is not only a #1 New York Times Best Seller, but it is also a #1 Wall Street and Washington Post bestseller. It’s is also Editor’s Choice on Amazon. And there is a reason why!

Pink’s writing style makes this book one of the most informative that I have ever read. Dare I say, it is groundbreaking (the information that I found in this book, I couldn’t find anywhere else).

You will most likely read it more than once because I find myself always referring back to it on my online journey. I learned so much about human behavior and motivation in relation to sales!

I never realized that there was such psychology behind getting people to buy into your idea. You will not regret reading this book!

The biggest mistake you can make is thinking that this is only for people trying to sell things.

It’s not.

It is for anyone who has an idea and wants to convince people to be a part of it.

So basically, it is for everybody.

5- The Psychology of Money

The Psychology of Money by morgan housel

The Psychology of Money is one of the most interesting books that I have found so far.

I have a big interest in human behavior and psychology, so if this isn’t your strong point, then maybe this book isn’t for you.

But if you want to discover what your relationship with money is and WHY it is the way it is, then this is a must-read!

I would say, anyone who wants to have a better relationship with money, needs to read this book.

But I will also warn that it can be a bit of a complex read at points.

Not because the language is particularly difficult, but actually because the ideas may be very new to you. You will find yourself closing the book and reflecting for a long time. Which may make for a slower read.

But it is so worth it.

6- You Are A Badass

you are a badass book

Jen Sincero is a big name in the self-development space and for good reason.

Her book You Are A Badass is an amazing book that is lighthearted and filled with humor to captivate this audience.

It is also filled with some deep-rooted ideas and questions that will make you dig deep into your shadows and shed some tears.

Jen opens our eyes to just how much we as a human species loath and despises ourselves.

Not really, we do not even know how much we put ourselves down every single day.

It is time to break that chain and this book is here to tell you how to do it!

Not only teaching self-love but also self-worth and how to believe that you are worthy of anything good that comes your way.

Fair warning, you are going to need a pen and paper when you read this book.

7- You Are A Badass At Making Money

you are a badass at making money book

I told you Jen Sincero was a big name so here she is again.

But this time, she is helping is get out money straight.

I will preface this by saying that I fully believe that you should read You Are A Badass first before you read You Are A Badass At Making Money.

Why?

Because having a foundation of self-worth is what helps build wealth.

Without it, no amount of money will ever suffice.

So in this book, Jen will help you realize how negatively you have been treating money. How your mindset needs to change in order for you to become wealthy.

And also, how you need to become wealthy, BEFORE actually being wealthy.

Sound confusing?

Read the book.

Get ready for some intense inner work and deep reflection because you will be surprised by what you will find within.

8- Think and Grow Rich

think and grow rich book

Think and Grow Rich is a classic book by Napoleon Hill. This book is heavily acclaimed and talked about by millionaires and billionaires who boast that this book changed their lives.

And they weren’t wrong.

This book was written in the time of the Great Depression in 1937. One of the hardest economical periods in history.

Imagine writing a book like this telling people that they need to believe that they can be rich when they could barely put food on the table?

But that is how much Hill believed in his work.

By the time he passed away, he had sold over 20 million copies.

Think and Grow Rich will give you the basic necessities you need to be able to change your life and grow your business.

The lessons in this book have lasted lifetimes.

No wonder why it has been a best seller for over 70 years now.

9- Rich Dad, Poor Dad

rich dad poor dad book

When Robert Kiyosaki wrote his book Rich Dad, Poor Dad, he knew it would make waves.

This book is challenging everything that we have grown up believing about working hard and making money.

“Money doesn’t grow on trees”

Newsflash: Yes, it does (it’s literally paper).

“You have to work hard to be successful!”

Uhm, actually no, you don’t. Ever seen a viral video?

My West-African mother would have a heart attack if she read this.

These are just some of the ideas that Rober challenges in his book. He is all about working smarter, not harder.

Make your money work for you and don’t get stuck on the hamster wheel of chasing money.

But this is not only for you as an adult. This book will also teach you what you can teach your kids about money and how to become successful in the future.

It is a page-turner full of life lessons and you will find yourself coming back to this in the future.

10- The Science of Getting Rich

the science of getting rich book

What if I told you that making money, accumulating wealth, and getting rich could be broken down into pure science?

This is what The Science of Getting Rich will teach you. This is for people who may not be too keen on the woo-woo and spiritual side of things and need more of a pragmatical approach.

If you feel like getting into the metaphysics of wealth takes too much time for you, then this is the book for you.

But you have to be ready to do the work.

Because not only does this book have life lessons and wisdom for days, but it also has a plan of action to allow you to get the ball rolling.

This is not a book for those who want to just read it and then feel good for a few minutes and put it away.

This is for people who are ready to take action.

But once you do, you may even amaze yourself.

11- The Richest Man in Babylon

the riches man in babylon book

This book is very different from the other books on this list. The Richest Man in Babylon is a collection of 4,000 or so parables from the times of the Babylonian Empire.

It has been hailed over time as one of the greatest inspirational books of its time.

The people of Babylon were among the first to discover the universal laws of prosperity and this book will give you the 7 major lessons in regards to money.

As well as several financial and economic tips to help you grow your income.

These Babylonian parables each come with an important lesson on making money, growing wealth, and saving money as well.

The amusing tales of the tradesmen, merchants, and herdsmen will teach you how to spend less than what you earn.

As well as how to make your money work for you, how to attract good luck, and how to secure your financial future.

12- The 4 Hour Work Week

the 4 hour work week book

I have to say, The 4 Hour Work Week has been one of the most talked-about books since the pandemic hit.

Why do you think that is?

Timothy Ferris wasn’t kidding when he wrote that title. He really thinks that you can attain the goal of having full financial abundance through less work; not more.

Not only does he believe it, but he also lives it.

He went from $40,000 per year and 80 hours per week to $40,000 per month and 4 hours per week.

That sounds like a lot more fun to me!

He is all about working harder, not smarter.

The whole book is a blueprint of how to outsource your work, pay less for “luxury,” work and travel the world at the same time, and so much more.

Not to mention, you will get a lot of shortcuts to living like a billionaire without even being close to being one.

13- Money Master the Game

money master the game book

When you see that a book is written by Tony Robbins, you know that it is going to be good.

Money Master the Game is an amazing book where Tony himself has interviewed dozens of big names in various industries. And then he lays out a 7-step blueprint that he says anyone can use to develop financial freedom.

When you get into the world of finances, you will quickly learn that it is a complex world full of terms that you have never heard before.

Tony lays it out using metaphors and illustrations that are made to make even the most difficult concepts super easy to understand.

I have to say for myself, Tony is one of the people that actually pushed me to believe that I can do it.

And if I can do it, then you can too.

14- The Automatic Millionnaire

the automatic millionaire

They say that there is a secret to becoming a billionaire. Contrary to the fluff that the youtube videos are saying, The Automatic Millionnaire actually gives you a concrete story.

David Bach tells how a couple who was never able to make more than $55,000 a year combined, was able to retire early and make over $1 million in savings.

The crazy thing about this book is that there are so many things that you DON’T NEED to be able to succeed.

According to Bach, you can do it with no budget, no willpower, and no extra cash.

That will sound pretty crazy to the normal ear but this book is packed with practical things that you can do and an easy business plan that you can make in less than an hour.

It is a short book, but the lessons will last a lifetime.

15- The Alchemist

the alchemist by paulo coelho

This book is life!

To be honest, all of Paulo Coelho’s books are life.

I remember picking up this book in high school but not really getting it.

But later on, in my early 20’s, I found it again. I opened up the first page, and my life changed forever.

I know this isn’t specific to business and wealth, but the book is so amazing because it touches every subject.

No matter where you are in life, what business you are in, what you plan on doing in the future, this book is for you.

It will completely change the way you see the world, the human mind, and your own capabilities.

It will teach you that nothing in life is too big for you to overcome.

You will not regret reading this book.
