You’ve heard the hype but now the question remains: is Getresponse still worth using in 2021?

Whether you are brand new to the world of online business or you are already established, you will always need more leads, sales, views, subscribers, and/or customers.

The best way to do this is by having an email list.

Building an email list is one of the most important things YOU NEED TO DO! There is no way you can have a successful online business in the long term without one.

building an email list

Unfortunately, no one told me about this when I first began years ago. I went years without ever thinking that blogger needed an email list.

Thankfully, I learned over time that building an email list is just as essential for a blogger as it is for any other online platform.

If it wasn’t, then we would still be using our emails to sign up for things now, would we?

I have used several different email marketing platforms in the past such as MailChimp and SendInBlue. But I recently started using GetResponse.

**UPDATE:GetResponse now has a completely free plan for beginners! Learn more about it in this article!

What is GetResponse?

GetResponse is a feature-rich online email marketing solution, that is fully scalable and able to handle both small and very large lists ( even 1 million+ subscribers).

It has provided an easy, self-service application that has been around for over a decade. Not only does it have expert support for managing and creating email marketing campaigns, but it also helps create newsletters and autoresponders that convert your contacts into customers

Along with this, two things that they provide that are very important for your campaigns are:

  • fully automated list hygiene that will remove inactive subscribers
  • anti-spam practices that make them more trusted by the email providers ( so your emails won’t end up in the spam folder as often)

GetResponse has high deliverability which is very important when you are running automated campaigns. The last thing you want to see is that you have sent out 10,000 emails but that the majority of them are unread because they ended up being marked as spam.

What do you get with GetResponse?

It’s only fair that you learn more about what this email marketing platform can provide for you. Here is a list of some of its top features:

– 500+ industry templates

GetResponse used to have 300 templates but they have expanded and now provide over 500 templates that you can use. These templates are easy drag-and-drop pages that will save you hours.

– A/B Testing

My personal favorite is their A/B testing feature which allows you to send out different variants of your campaign to see how your audience responds. Once a full analysis is done, you will be able to see which campaign model performed the best and allow you to change your campaign accordingly.

– Email Analytics

If you are like me then you know the importance of analytics. With GetResponse, you get in-depth analytics about CTR, opens, subscribers, and much more. You will be able to do side-by-side comparisons of your campaigns and made data-driven decisions.

– Guaranteed Deliverability

They have over 10 years of expertise and have a worldwide reputation for being one of the most secure and trustworthy email marketing platforms. Because of this, and their work with major email providers, emails sent through the GetResonse platform have a higher deliverability rate. Meaning your emails are guaranteed to get into the inbox of your subscribers.

– Social media integration

With GetRespons, you have the ability to allow social sharing right in the email. Meaning your campaign can travel even further than you had imagined. And with its great analytics, you will be able to track every step.

– GetResponse mobile apps

If you are often out and about, then you know the importance of having the ability to keep track of what is going on right on your phone. This is why GetResponse provides you with a mobile app where you can send emails, collect leads, and monitor your campaign all while you are on the go.

– Coaching and support

With email campaigns, there are sometimes things that can go wrong. With GetResponse, you can expect a team of experts that are there to help you 24/7. From personal experience, I can say that their support agents were very helpful and kind when I had a problem running my first campaign, Even though my list was small, they still treated me like I was a priority.

– GetResponse MAX (Enterprise)

GetResponse MAX is the new and improved version of GetResponse Enterprise and let me tell you…it’s major! This platform was made for the big guys; the enterprises and companies with monster lists that need more power than regular lists.

It is used by big names like IKEA and UNESCO and the customer feedback is very positive from these big names.

What are the Cons of Using GetResponse?

To be honest, there aren’t many but is what I have found:

  • Some customers complain about there being a bug and having their emails put on a bad IP server which made their email undeliverable. In which case, they had to contact support to get help.
  • In regards to their autoresponder, there are cheaper alternatives out there BUT they do not neccessarily match in quality.
  • When making emails, it can be a bit tricky to resize the images that you want to put into your email.
  • The ability to export your data onto an external Excel fil is not an available function at the moment.
  • It has a LOT of options…almost too many for some. So it can be a bit overwhelming for beginners.

GetResponse Pricing: How Much Does GetResponse Cost?

GetResponse provides 4 pricing tiers.

Unlike many other platforms, each tier is adjustable to your email list meaning you can chose how big or small you want it to be and they will tell you how much it will cost.

Conclusion – Should You Buy It?

To get started, I actually recommend that you don’t buy it.

What you should do instead is use their 30-day FREE trial and get to know the platform first. This is one thing that is amazing about the platform because you will be able to use all of the professional features completely for free.

Once your 30-days are up and you like what you see, then you can go ahead and make the purchase.
