If you had told me 6 months ago that I would be able to monetize my brand new blog through Ezoic I would have slammed a door in your face.

But guess what? That is exactly what happened.

Not only did I get accepted with a new blog, but I got accepted the very first month I started this blog.

You are probably thinking that I had a bunch of subscribers from another platform or that I had a massive amount of traffic, right?

Nope.

My Instagram account has maybe 10 followers at this point.

My Youtube is around 200 subscribers.

Matter of fact, I got less than 200 views to my blog the month that I got accepted into Ezoic.

You are probably thinking that I am spewing BS but no worries, I have all of the receipts.

So if you want to know how I got into Ezoic and how you can do the same, then keep reading.

What Is Ezoic?

If you think that Ezoic is just a simple ad management platform, then you are in for a surprise.

Ezoic has amazing AI programs that will guarantee an increase in your website’s performance and revenue.

Most people rush to Ezoic because they know that they will be able to increase their income.

Ezoic is also known for having premium ads and for getting the most out of advertisers when it comes to monetization.

They even guarantee that you will see an increase in revenue if you switch over to their platform.

Ezoic is basically here to optimize everything about your online platform. That means:

  • Optimizing ads for more revenue
  • Increasing site speed
  • Giving you better cache

These are just a few of the things that they provide, but there is so much more that you can get with it.

So if you are interested in learning more about how you can benefit from using Ezoic, you can read more here.

I will say because they use an AI that learns and gets better, the earlier you join the better it will be for you in the long run.

How I Got Into Ezoic With Less Than 200 Pageviews

You probably thought that the title was clickbait.

It wasn’t.

I started writing on this log in September 2021 and got accepted into Ezoic in October 2021.

How did I do this?

Ezoic Access Now Program

This is the real reason I got accepted into Ezoic. I was able to join their Access Now Program that is open to anyone who has a website that has under 10,000 views per month.

In this program, you are going to have to go through a series of programs and tests.

Yes, you actually have to do and PASS the tests.

Once you do these, you will get badges that will show that you have completed the courses.

The approval process takes around 10 days but there are a lot of other integrations that you need to complete to set everything up first.

I highly recommend you read my article where I go through everything that you need to know about the Access Program and how to get through it.

I managed to complete all of the courses and tasks before the 10-day approval process and I highly recommend that you do the same.

However, make sure you take the time to actually understand what you are doing and learning. So have a notebook or somewhere you can write things down at all times.

Getting Accepted By Google

google ads manager

I know, this article is about Ezoic. But believe it or not, you won’t get into Ezoic without Google.

Google and Ezoic are partners when it comes to ad management. So you will need to get accepted into places like Google Ad Manager in order to integrate with Ezoic.

One thing that definitely helped me get accepted was that I already had an Adsense account that was connected to an old youtube channel.

I also had already applied and gotten approved for Google Adsense on this website.

This showed Ezoic that my website was already in accordance with Google’s terms of service and I was in good standing.

Basically, if you are not following Google’s guidelines, then there is no way Ezoic will approve you either.

So if you do not have an Adsense account, this doesn’t mean that you need to create one. But it does mean that you need to make sure that you are at least following all of Google’s guidelines.

More about that in the next section.

One thing I did from the very beginning is make sure I had all of the legal pages that I needed to protect my site and protect my viewers.

I am still surprised by how many bloggers completely disregard this fact.

Whether you have 1 article or 100 articles, you need to at least have:

  • a privacy policy
  • a terms of service page
  • an affiliate disclosure (if you have affiliates)

If you work with Ezoic, there is a little extra piece of information that you will need to add to your privacy policy.

So if you do not have one, this won’t be possible.

Now don’t freak out. These used to intimidate me too!

But thankfully, there are dozens of free templates that you can find online where you can simply enter your blog name and they will work just fine.

Contact Pages

When you are working with anyone online, people NEED to be able to contact you. So setting up a contact page where people will at least be able to get your email address is going to be vital.

Not just to join Ezoic but for the future of your business.

As a small blogger, I am already getting emails from companies who want to work with me. Had I not had a contact page with my email, then they would have never been able to find me.

This can limit your exposure and future business prospects immensely. Not to mention, really bring down your income possibilities.

When it comes to working with an ad manager like Ezoic, having a contact page is important to make sure your website is legitimate.

I mean, imaging a website where no one knows the owner and no one can contact them.

Sounds kind of fishy doesn’t it?

Don’t let this be you.

Quality Content

This is the last thing I am going to touch on but it is certainly one of the most important.

Your content needs to be high in quality.

Since I had blogged in the past, and I have always been a great writer, coming up with good articles was a lot easier for me.

I also put a lot of research behind it.

Someone once said that no matter where you are on your online journey, make content as if 1 million people were watching.

Basically, make high-quality content as if you are already going viral.

But not only did I make sure I wrote good content. I aimed for higher competition keywords. These kinds of keywords are good to have because advertisers usually pay more for them.

Meaning you will be making more money which will be more interesting for Ezoic to monetize.

Best Ezoic Alternative for Small Blogs

If you are just starting out and you maybe want to wait a little before joining Ezoic, you may find it hard to monetize your website when it’s small.

So the best alternative for smaller websites is Google Adsense.

It is very easy to join but as I mentioned earlier, you need to make sure you follow Google’s guidelines.

Other than that, if you have everything in place, you can be up and running with Adsense in 24-48 hours.

This is also a good idea because if you want to join Ezoic in the future, they will be able to use the statistics gained from your Adsense account to better optimize your results with Ezoic.

Conclusion

Joining an ad company like Ezoic was literally a major milestone and goal of mine so the fact that I was able to do it so early on has been amazing.

So many people think that you can just start a website and the money will come pouring in.

I wish it were that easy.

Usually, when you first start out blogging, you don’t make a dime for months!

This can be so discouraging if you are a new blogger.

But with Ezoic, you can start seeing a few cents trickle in every day, and believe it or not, it is actually very motivating.

It shows you that you can do this!

Just make sure you set yourself up for success. Follow the guidelines and make sure you put in the work.

You are on your way to building your own online digital empire!

Hopefully, showing you a realistic view of how the process was for me is going to help you on your online journey.
